Every Symphony system starts with a 10 micron prefilter with Active Armour™ conditioning, designed to reduce scale and corrosion in internal testing, followed by carbon blocks that reduce chlorine taste and odor. The Symphony 1B and 2B use FLT-CSS-4B33X cartridges for chloramine. Any system can add a Symphony Ultrafilter (FLT-CSS-UF), rated to approx. 0.02 micron (manufacturer data). One Ultrafilter handles up to 15 gpm and two in parallel handle up to 30 gpm. The Symphony 1 and 2 series take one Ultrafilter; two in parallel are offered only on the Symphony 3 and 4.
