Sediment, laundry and washing
Sediment such as sand, silt and rust particles can cloud water and build up in fixtures and appliances. Every Symphony system starts with a 10 micron prefilter that captures sediment and protects the carbon stage.
Symphony carbon blocks reduce chlorine taste and odor in water used for washing produce, dishes and laundry. The Symphony 1B and 2B use FLT-CSS-4B33X cartridges for chloramine.
The first stage also includes Active Armour™ conditioning, designed to reduce scale and corrosion on washing machines, dishwashers and fixtures in internal testing. Active Armour™ is a water conditioner, not a water softener.
