Hard water scale and corrosion
Hard water carries dissolved minerals that can build up as scale on plumbing, water heaters, fixtures and appliances. Corrosion can wear on pipes and fittings over time.
Every Symphony system includes Active Armour™ conditioning in the first stage, designed to reduce corrosion and hard water scale in internal testing. Active Armour™ is a water conditioner, not a water softener.
Active Armour™ is part of the Symphony FLT-CSS-4B16P prefilter. It is designed to form a protective layer on the inside of pipes that reduces corrosion and hard water scale, and to help reduce existing scale without acid in internal testing.
Internal testing: heating elements after exposure to hard water, Active Armour treated water, and softened water.
Reducing scale and corrosion can help protect water heaters, fixtures and appliances, but savings depend on your water and home.
